As we’ve expanded Storybook into central Texas, we’ve come across some absolutely stunning wedding venues that are right up our couple’s alley.

Our typical Storybook couple loves timeless design, a romantic setting and as much of an outdoor experience for their guests as possible (during the summer in Chicago of course).

So during our venue search in Austin we came across seven venues that offered all of this. Today we are excited to share with you, 7 Hill Country Austin Wedding Venues.

Camp Lucy

Ian’s Chapel

“Ian’s Chapel features a restored 19th century French colonial chapel and antique bell from Vietnam, a majestic Events Hall created from a repurposed 1800’s Amish barn originally built from hand-hewn white oak timbers in Ohio and a dramatic, open-air Pavilion made from the ironwood timbers of a 1930’s French Colonial church and a Ludowici tile roof repurposed from the Bexar County courthouse in downtown San Antonio. The Great Lawn and the Stone Arch provide breathtaking outdoor ceremony site options. The old world-style brick paved courtyard, lavish Great Lawn and Chef-inspired catering kitchen make this venue the hallmark of Camp Lucy. Sacred Oaks

Whit’s Inn

The Vineyard

Canyonwood Ridge

“Canyonwood Ridge is a Hill Country Wedding and Events venue in the Austin area, located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin in the “Wedding Capital of Texas” of Dripping Springs.

The 12,000 square foot venue sits on a ridge top wrapped in oak trees with scenic hill country views and was designed specifically for weddings.  The outdoor ceremony site, as well as the indoor Chapel, offer planning flexibility and picturesque backdrops for a wedding of up to 300.  The Chapel enables an indoor ceremony to protect against the unpredictable weather in central Texas, and is adjacent to our large Reception Hall, in order to provide a seamless transition from ceremony to reception.

Laguna Gloria

“Laguna Gloria provides the perfect setting for many memorable occasions. An award-winning location for ceremonies and receptions, it has been named one of the best wedding venues in the country by Brides.com and the Best Wedding Venue in Austin (2015) by The Knot, as well as featured on publications and blogs including Style Me Pretty and Austin Monthly‘s 2015 Wedding Guide. The Italian-style Driscoll Villa and the expansive grounds allow for a variety of events, from weddings to corporate gatherings.

If you are interested in viewing the venue, we invite you to schedule an appointment with our Rentals Department, Monday through Friday during office hours, 9A–4:30P. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

Pecan Springs Ranch

Surrounded by stunning pecan and oak trees, the Austin wedding venue also features a creek, fresh springs and a pond. Our 6000 sf climate-controlled building includes a prep kitchen, a groom’s area, and a glass back wall that opens up onto a 2000 sf terrace, bringing the outside “in”. We also offer a separate bride’s house as well as numerous beautiful ceremony sites. We do have several bad weather plans we can suggest which is absolutely necessary at a Austin Wedding Venue.   We have the capability to accomodate large groups easily fit 300 guest inside with a dance floor or more just ask us.  The property lends itself to being a very versatile venue.  If you want a wedding your guests will remember and have FUN at, we are the venue for you!
We have lawn games that come with the rental, tables and chairs and much more! Sassy and Opie the “drink” donkeys live here also!

Pecan Springs Ranch does offer elopement and micro wedding packages!

The grounds are green all year around and wildflowers will be blooming in the Spring. There is a pond stocked with fish and a beautiful creek runs around the property also. Best of all we are located  10 minutes from  downtown Austin!”

Woodbine Mansion
