Storybook: Let’s begin with a short bio. Tell us about yourselves!

Light Visuals Co: We are Ronye & Dom Brown, married high school sweethearts who grew up in southern Arkansas, but now planting roots in Austin, TX. Our southern accent is easy to hear, and you will catch us saying y’all many times. Being adventurous homebodies pretty much sums us up and we always find joy in the simple things about life. We enjoy staying home baking cookies and finding a good crime show, but we will jump at the opportunity to travel to somewhere new.

Storybook: How did you get started in photography?

Light Visuals Co: We officially got started in photography roughly 5 years ago. At the time, we did not realize our then side-hobby would lead us to being featured as top wedding photographers in America by BRIDES magazine. After we got married in 2018, we officially joined forces to start our wedding photography business, Light Visuals Co. in 2019. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to witness and photograph many love stories.

Storybook: How would you describe your photography shooting and editing style?

Light Visuals Co.: Our approach to our photography shooting style is photojournalistic. We love being able to tell our couples’ love story through images in the most authentic and genuine way. Wedding days can often feel like a blur and we always strive to capture all of the in-between moments so that our couples can always reflect back on the images we created to relive their day.

Storybook: Have you always been in Austin? What are some of your favorite places to photograph?

Light Visuals Co: We moved to Austin, TX in 2019. Moving to Austin has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our business. We love incorporating both nature and city elements into our work so some of our favorite places to shoot at has been Mount Bonnell and city shots on South Congress.

Storybook: What do you love most about the wedding day?

Light Visuals Co: Our favorite part of the wedding day is hands down the getting ready. We love being able to photograph such sacred, intimate, and candid moments that lead up to the ceremony. For us, it is exciting because we are watching a story unfold and a legacy being created.

Storybook: When booking a new couple, what do you like them to know about you and the way you work with couples?

Light Visuals Co: Connection is key for us when we work with new couples. We believe that you only get married once, so we aim to provide the best experience possible. Our personalities are fun and up-beat, but we are down-to-earth. We love to provide our couples with a good time so that we can capture their love story in the most genuine and authentic way.
