In honor of April being National Poetry Month, we believed that this was the perfect time to share ways of using your favorite poems, quotes and lyrics at your wedding! 

Storybook Chicago is a big advocate of poetry as quotes and poems can be the perfect source of expression when you can’t seem to find the words yourself.

We all know that sharing your love for your “spouse-to-be” or showing appreciation to your loved ones may require you to put together a few sweet words or even a small speech. Using the words of others may feel a bit more comfortable rather than trying to put it together on your own. Incorporate a special song lyric or favorite scripture that holds strong meaning to you.

If you have more than just a few words to share, we think that creatively displaying your thoughts can turn into something even more beautiful! Many of us have seen aisle runners and ceremony backdrops with calligraphy of song lyrics, scriptures, and poems gorgeously scribed onto them. This is a great way to ensure that all of your guests can share with you, your meaningful words and thoughts.

For a more discrete tactic, adding these words into your cake design can be done just as beautifully.

Memoralizing lost loved ones can be emotionally difficult, and sometimes sharing quotes or even stories can help ease the pain of their absence. Displaying photos with a sentimental poem or a scripture can be a simple and loving way to personalize and honor those whom you wish to remember.
