April Showers Bring May Flowers

April showers bring May flowers.  And May flowers bring… gorgeous floral arraignments!

One of the many perks of the event industry is having the pleasure of working with talented floral companies all over the city. From simple yet elegant to the over-the-top and extravagant, we have a vendor for every vision and budget. Our vendor partners never cease to amaze us with new bouquets and centerpieces. Each event is an opportunity to showcase new unique creations!

Now that we have you dreaming of flowers, we want to share with you a few things to consider when it comes to booking floral for your big day!

Your Color Pallet:  It is suggested to have your desired color pallet already set when you meet with your florist. Sharing your pinterest or inspiration board is also a great idea. It will allow your florist to understand your color inspiration as well as the aesthetic that you are looking for. If you have swatches/samples of your bridesmaid’s and table linens, even better! Bring them along to your appointment.

Not only do your personal color preferences need to be considered, but so do the colors of your venue. Each venue has its unique characteristics and coloring and incorporating the right floral will allow you to enhance its beauty.

Your Floral Budget:  Your guest count, as well as, the amount of people that you have in your bridal party can greatly affect your floral budget.  If you have a larger guest count, a way to save money on reception floral is to alternate taller and shorter table centerpieces. Other cost savers are utilizing candles, lanterns, picture frames, table runners and mirrors.

However, having your florists understand your budget will allow them to be creative. So share what you are comfortable with!

Location and Time of Year: Certain flowers and plants are more cost effective than others due to availability. That said, don’t be scared of expensive flower pricing; sometimes more expensive flowers can fill a more considerable amount of space as well as last longer than others.

We think that it is also fun to work with your season! Use other items from nature rather than flowers, such as pumpkins, leaves, pine cones, branches, and succulents.

We hope that we have sparked some inspiration and ideas when it comes to your wedding floral.  The options are endless when it comes to your big day. We would also love to share with you, the fabulous florists that we work with. Contact us today!

With Love,
