Summer Wedding at The Godfrey Hotel, IO Rooftop

We celebrated Erica and Luke in a beautiful Summer wedding at the Godfrey Hotel, IO Rooftop in Chicago. Erica and Luke have a beautiful love story: After initially meeting and then Luke moving away, they eventually reconnected and had their adorable little boy, Lukie, who is now two years old. We were so happy to be a part of the celebration of their love for each other, with their friends and family’s love surrounding them.

It was Fourth of July weekend and the weather was fantastic. After a beautiful morning ceremony at their local church, St. Bernadine in Forest Park, we headed back to the city for a fun-filled reception held at The Godfrey Hotel. Located in downtown Chicago, The IO Rooftop provided amazing views of the city. Although it is only on the fourth floor of the hotel, you feel like you can see the entire city when you are up there! They also had Monogrammed pillows adorned the lounge chairs and couches, adding a nice personalized touch to the space. And Erica and Luke provided personal fans for their guests to fan themselves with (although it surprisingly wasn’t too hot!), which were tied with pretty accent ribbons.

It was a Brunch Wedding!!

Erica and Luke kicked off their brunch wedding reception with their first dance to “Forever” by Jesse and The Rippers from the hit TV show “Full House.” Their song then transitioned into a really fun and unexpected self-choreographed dance to Justin Beiber’s hit song, “Baby”! Throughout the day their guests enjoyed a great music set by DJ Andres Martinez, and they were able to have their pictures drawn by caricature artist Cara Dunning! It was such an enjoyable wedding day. It was also a great way to spend the Holiday weekend!

Congratulations to Erica and Luke!
