So we thought as most of you begin this journey, that we would share a series of posts on the unique wedding venues that Chicago has to offer.

Today we are going to share with you, our favorite Chicago loft venues. From rustic to modern, Chicago has plenty to offer. We have written additional information on some of these spaces and will share those links with you within the post.

Contemporary Lofts

Chez Event Venue

Chez Event Venue is one of our favorites for so many reasons. The first reason being that it is completely customizable. Chez offer’s you a blank space just waiting for you to transform! Chez is a contemporary loft wedding space that still offers its original, white-painted brick walls and columns. A beautiful and unique feature of the space is the contemporary glass staircase which provides a gorgeous modern touch to the history of the room.

If you have traveling guests, they will be excited to know that the space is deep in the heart of the city. You will have endless options of hotels to consider for your room blocks as Chez is steps away from the Mag Mile and other popular destination. Additionally, Chez does have an exclusive catering list which holds some of our favorite catering companies.

Room 1520

Another blank white canvas! We love this space for so many reasons. Room 1520 has an entryway with steps that create the perfect entrance into your cocktail space. It boasts gorgeous and plenty chandeliers hung throughout. In addition, Room 1520 features high ceilings, polished cement floors, portrait windows, exposed brick, private street entrances and many other amenities.

Floating World Gallery

A hidden gem! If you live near Chicago’s North Side, it is almost certain that you have passed by Floating World Gallery on multiple occasions. Floating World Gallery is located on Halsted Street near Armitage in Chicago’s Lincoln Park Neighborhood.

Also offering beautiful art on its walls, you can offer your guests a one of a kind experience at your wedding. The options are endless when it comes to this space. Intimate and unique, Floating World Gallery welcomes you into a lengthy room with beautiful wood floors and exposed brick

Rustic Lofts

Gallery 1028

This rustic and charming space offers the most stunning brick walls and original wood flooring which provides a vintage feel to your event. If you are looking for a Chicago “loft space”, THIS IS the true definition, but with a slightly larger floor plan than most. Gallery 1028 offers room for up to 300 guests for a seated dinner with a dance floor or 250 guests with a wedding ceremony and reception. It has a separate room that allows ample space for cocktail hour. So, if you plan to have both your ceremony and reception here, your guests will be able to enjoy a whole other area of this space while your room flip is taking place.

One thing in particular that we love about this venue is that it comes with two 8’ reclaimed wood bars and beautifully designed back bars that complement its environment. You also will receive four high boy tables in a matching wood and an 8’ farm table to use as you wish. (Just think about how much you will save on rentals!)

City View Loft

City View Loft is a newer space to Chicago, tucked away in Chicago’s West Side. Located on the top floor of an old loft building, City View Loft offers exactly what its name describes! A stunning and rare view of Chicago’s skyline.

Not only does the space offer a beautiful view of the city, but they include tables and chairs! They currently include (150) mahogany chivari chairs, (20) reclaimed wood dining tables, an antique podium and lounge furniture. Why is this notable? Because this is a huge cost savings!

Artifact Events

Have a larger guest count but want a similar loft vibe as smaller spaces offer? Artifact Events, or formally known as Architectural Artifacts is a space that you must check out. Located on Ravenswood in the North side of Chicago, you will find this space within a large series of other loft buildings.

Additionally, the venue offers outdoor and indoor space and a whole couple floors of antique items. If you are looking for a unique space for incomparable wedding photos, this is the place!
