Yes, another hotel recently opened in downtown Chicago. But this hotel that we are spotlighting today is truly one-of-a-kind, and it is unlike any other hotel that the city has!
Located at 122 W. Monroe St., the hotel’s vibe is a blend of class, beauty, and sophistication. The space is somehow quite open and bright with it’s white, sparkly floor tiling and gorgeous tall ceilings. And at the same time you somehow still have a sense of calmness and intimacy in all areas of the hotel, ranging from of course it’s amazing spa to their ballroom. We would describe the ambiance as a blend of nostalgia that the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago offers, paired with the chicness that downtown Chicago and New York City offer.
Although the hotel is located in the Loop, the hotel’s windows to both the guest rooms and ballrooms are made with material that makes them sound-proof! In fact, when the Storybook team visited the space for the first time, a train sped by one of the windows about a stone’s throw away, and we couldn’t hear a thing, it was amazing! It was definitely neat to feel like we were in the heart of Chicago, yet not bothered by the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Kimpton Gray’s Adler Ballroom seats 180 guests with a dance floor, but about 220 guests without. It is perfect for couples who live in the city as well as for couples who simply appreciate Chicago.
