A Page From Our Planner: Photobooths

Adding a photobooth to a wedding reception has become a huge trend in weddings.  It can be such a fun activity for your guests, but it can also function as a takeaway from your big day.  I can’t tell you how many times I have gone into friends and families homes to see several photobooth strips of them with friends at someone’s wedding.  Many of them are still up there from years and years ago!

Chicago is lucky enough to have some incredible photobooth vendors that can help capture your evening and give your guests a good laugh.  Some of my favorites are Fotio, and newly created BugBooth!  They all allow for props to be used which can allow your guests to get creative.  In the new digital age almost all photobooth companies offer a social media element for the couple to see all of their guests photos from the evening.

Fotio and BugBooth are both use vintage cameras that have been converted to take incredible digital images.  The quality and clarity of the pictures is unbelievable for such a retro and unique looking device.  Besides your standard props it can be fun to add a sparkly backdrop, a custom digital overlay with your wedding date and names, and even to custom create props that are meaningful to you as a couple.  If you are looking for a great idea to have an interactive activity for your guests we highly recommend a photobooth.

XOXO.
