When I think of winter weddings, I think of Anne and Geneva’s gorgeous wedding at Salvage One in Chicago, Illinois.
Waking up the morning of the wedding was absolute perfection because we had a fresh coat of snow. It’s not easy to plan the weather. We never know what we are going to get in Chicago. Snow was a hope for the girls so to have a beautiful dusting the morning-of, well – we couldn’t have asked for anything more!
The ladies began the morning at the Chicago Athletic Association where they had their room blocks. The vintage vibes were a perfect complement to Geneva’s beautiful vintage curls done beautifully by Pin Me Up Chicago.
The florals by Flowers for Dreams were moody and vibrant which just so happens to be a stunning complement of the brides. The beautiful photos were taken by Indigo Lace Collective.
During their engagement, myself (Nicole Hensley) and the brides would often meet over cheese boards and red wine. So it wasn’t a surprise when we removed the idea of a sweet and sugary wedding cake and instead had a “cheese cake” – litterally a cake made from wheels of cheese.
This wedding was just as unique as the beautiful and envious love that Anne and Geneva have for one another.
Grateful to have been a witness of their marriage
